Millennium Wood Bug and Butterfly hunt

On Tuesday 2nd August, over fifty intrepid villagers braved the elements, this time the blazing sun. They joined Gary Farmer, Local Nature Reserve Officer and his team, from Solihull MBC.

Millennium Wood is an important Nature Reserve as we have many unusual plants and creatures and Gary encouraged everyone to search for bugs and butterflies which he then identified.

We were pleased to see twenty or so children and they had lots of fun running around the wood with their butterfly nets.
